Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao was born on Cuba on 3 March 1997. IN 2003, Kamila and her mother immigrated to the USA. The girl’s father joined them 1.5 years later. Camila’s native language is Spanish.
In 2012, Camila went to audition for the music talent show The X Factor, where together with four more contestants became part of the group called Fifth Harmony. The girl band was a success and came in third on the show. After the show, the girls signed contracts with three labels, including Sony Music, owned by Simon Cowell. The same year, the band earned a rising star award at PopDust.
Fifth Harmony released its debut EP under the name of Better Together in October 2013. The EP was a success, reaching the 6th spot on Billboard 200 and 18th spot on New Zealand charts. By the end of 2013, the band already had six Teen Choice Awards nominations, two Radio Disney Music Awards, two wins and two nominations at MTV Europe Music Awards. The band’s leading single "Miss Movin 'On" won an MTV Video Music award. It also earned a golden certificate in the USA.
In 2014, the band went on a world tour called Harmonize America Mall Tour. In December, the girls performed in the White House at the event called National Christmas Tree Lighting. The next year was dedicated to a promotion tour, Fifth Times a Charm Tour.

In 2015, the band released its first studio album Reflection. The LP was a big hit in the USA and abroad. It reached the fifth spot on Billboard 200 and went platinum in the USA.
Even though the girl band was very successful, Camila was starting to think about a solo career. In November 2015, together with Shawn Mendez, the singer released a single "I Know What You Did Last Summer". The single was a big hit, reaching the 20th spot on Billboard Hot 100. After some time, it went platinum in many countries. A month later, Fifth Harmony became the best band of the year according to Billboard Women in Music 2015.
In May 2016, Fifth Harmony released their second LP7/27, named in honor of their foundation date. The album was very successful. It reached the 4th spot on Billboard 200 and sold 1.6 million copies worldwide in just 6 months. The band received MTV Video Music Awards, MTV Europe Music Award, Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, and People's Choice Awards.
In October 2016, Camila released her second solo single "Bad Things". The single made it to the fourth spot of Billboard Hot 100. Cabello was included in the Time magazine’s list of 25 most influential teenagers of 2016. In the end of 2016, Camila left Fifth Harmony to pursue a solo career.
In March 2017, Camila participated in the recording of the song "Hey Ma[en]", which became a soundtrack for The Fate of The Furious. Two months later, she recorded a single “Havana”, which became a huge hit, topping all the popular charts and becoming platinum numerous times.
In 2018, Camila released her debut solo LP Camila. It immediately topped Billboard 200.
